LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Firefighters are battling a fire at an animal feed plant.

The call went out around 6:15 a.m. from the Hubbard Feed plant located just off Route 30 on Hempland Road. According to officials, the fire potentially began in the basement of the facility.

The fire quickly went to a 2nd alarm. More than two dozen units were at the scene, according to the Lancaster County webcads.

Feed product was reportedly burning from the lower portion of the building all the way to the top.

There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire and the overall extent of the damage are unknown at this time.

Hempland Road was closed near the mill but has since reopened.
